Change the language of a message header

The feature described in this Help topic is only available if support for an appropriate language is enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings.

Microsoft Outlook is set to display in English the message header (which includes the From, To, Sent, and Subject boxes) of replies and messages to be forwarded. This is necessary because a header in another language will not be displayed properly if the recipient of the message has not enabled the appropriate Microsoft Office Language Settings.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
  2. Click International Options.
  3. Clear the Use English for message headers on replies and forwards check box.
